I think the title of the post is what we should all aim for in our professional life. I’m the first to admit that my job had become rather regular and mundane and that can not be blamed on anyone except me. Then one day, I made a decision to make this blog and I began to learn new things. I began to learn. Then, the more I learned, the more I needed to learn and suddenly I became happier with life. Don’t let yourself fall under any kind of routine as learning new things is actually the main element to professional happiness.
But how and from whom do you learn without heading back to school? Traditionally, that is definitely more challenging as you’d to rely upon personal conversation (probably within a small geographical area), email, email, and telephone. Instant messaging (IM) started to change the way that people interact as we could talk to people in real time from all over the world at no cost (except for your regular ISP expense). Then your social media trend occurred and we’ve various ways to connect to people from all over the world!

I have to confess that I utilize a group of very smart and professional people and I really do enjoy learning from them, but I also enjoy my personal learning network (PLN). My office and the world have some amazing ideas to reveal and whether you agree with the fact or not truly, their perspective is quite interesting.
Yes, I truly enjoy some individuals within my PLN and some individuals greatly aggravate me, but I keep them in my PLN because they provoke thought and that is important if you ask me. Between RSS feeds (for weblogs and sites), Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and queries I am at a loss for resources and contacts never. These are all real ways to build your own PLN and a lot of great ideas, resources, and encouragement will be shared. If you would like to start or increase your PLN pick out one person you understand on any of these sites and appearance at who they follow and add a few of those to your PLN.

Encourage your employees to use secure passwords, for both personal and company-cultural media accounts, staying away from public computers for logging in, and using customized privacy settings with their advantage. If all of your employees’ accounts affected, they must be aware of the next steps, and the concerned person to approach in order to minimize the damage. When drafting your sociable media policy, make sure you’re mindful of the build and vocabulary you’re using to get your point across.
Avoid using more legal jargon than necessary, as it might mistake some employees and deter others from reading it in the first place. Use bullet points and other formatting tools to operate a vehicle to focus on the critical elements. For instance, check out the social mass media plan of Nordstrom, that does a great job of conveying empowering, yet, concise set of procedures for their employees to follow. Remember, social press plan should be easy for everyone to understand, adapt and come to back again, if so when the need comes up. Therefore, it’s far better to move the focus away from what your employees cannot do and design your policy around what they can do.
